Based out of Mumbai, Les Kawoh is Director – Transport, DHL Supply Chain. In this position Kawoh is responsible for managing pan India transportation services of the DHL Supply Chain business. Kawoh is also responsible for developing the business and introducing new processes in this unit. Originally from the UK, Kawoh began his career in the logistics industry in 1972. He has over 30 years’ experience in this industry and has worked extensively in Europe Middle East and Asia (EMEA) and Russia. Prior to DHL, Kawoh worked with GE Seaco where he was the General Manager for European Operations responsible for setting up a depot network and support services for their fleet of marine containers, across EMEA and Russia. Kawoh joined DHL Supply Chain India as Director Transport in January 2010, prior to which he served as the Vice President DHL Container logistics, where he was responsible for the overall business performance, including the operations of 6 sites and 2 container depots with a large fleet of over 300 tractor and trailers. He was also responsible for nurturing key accounts which comprise of large container shipping lines.
